CreditsViva La Muerte is a pint-sized powerhouse performer from Chicago & Producer of Hot & Heavy Burlesque. She has been featured in HUSTLER magazine and on Jerry Springer & America’s Got Talent. In her six years on the scene as a burlesque performer she has taken audiences on a wild ride with her creative no holds barred performances. She began performing locally in Chicago in early 2007, producing her own show ‘Hot & Heavy Burlesque’ in January of 2009 and later that same year Viva burst onto the national scene with performances across the country including: Fangoria Weekend of Horrors Los Angeles (2010 Fangoria Spooksmodel Finalist), Texas Burlesque Festival, Toronto Burlesque Festival, A Performance on a Jerry Springer Too Hot For TV Pay Per View Special, Guest spot on JBTV (a long running rock TV Program in Chicago), and the Chicago Horror Film Festival. In 2010 Viva went on to perform at the Dallas Burlesque Festival, 2 appearances at the Detroit Dirty Show in February 2010, The Boston Burlesque Expo 2010, Windy City Burlesque Festival 2010,Texas Burlesque Festival 2010 where Viva won the award for ‘Most Original’, Vancouver International Burlesque Festival 2010, Toronto Burlesque Festival 2010 and New York Burlesque Festival 2010. 2011 was another powerhouse year with the 2nd run of the Hot & Heavy Burlesque Tribute to Pink Floyd’s THE WALL in January, and a trip to Minneapolis, MN to perform for the 1st time at the Best of Midwest Burlesk Festival. In 2011 Viva also returned to the Detroit Dirty Show for the 2nd time, Windy City Burlesque Festival 2011,Texas Burlesque Festival 2011 where Viva won the award for ‘Most Original’ for a 2nd year in a row!, Show Me Burlesque Festival 2011, The Toronto Burlesque Festival 2011, Season 6 America’s Got Talent Audition All Star, New York Burlesque Festival 2011 & Theatre Bizarre (Detroit, MI). The year 2012 marked a celebration of her 5 years in burlesque and saw Viva expanding her national presence with more tour dates across the country than ever before! In addition to her years of burlesque work Viva added performances as a gentleman’s club feature entertainer to the roster. She also made her national print debut in the October 2012 issue of HUSTLER magazine. Other 2012 Highlights include: Dallas Burlesque Festival @ House of Blues, The 3rd run of Hot & Heavy Burlesques’ tribute to Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall’, Appearing for the 3rd year in a row at Detroit Dirty Show, Texas Burlesque Festival, Show Me Burlesque Festival, Appearance at the 1st annual Chicago Women’s Funny Festival, Windy City Burlesque Festival, Toronto Burlesque Festival, Performing for the 2nd year in a row with the ‘Glitter Guild’ at GenCon, Horror Con performances including ’Monster Mash Up’ (Elgin, IL) and Days of the Dead Chicago, Competing in Stripperfest & Stripperpalooza, A return to Theatre Bizarre, and Modelling for Dr. Sketchy’s Chicago. 2013 kicked off with a return to the Dirty Show in Detroit and a beginning of a new avenue in Viva’s style. In March for the first time ever marked her debut into the world of pole dance competing in the Gateway Pole Competition in St. Louis in the pole-esque category. Fusing new pole skills with her signature burlesque style also took her to the Windy City Pole Dance showcase and the Venus Pole Dance showcase. In May Viva returned for her third year at the Show-Me Burlesque Festival in St. Louis followed by her first ever trip to the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend to perform in the Thursday night ‘Movers, Shakers & Innovators’ showcase. In the summer she was invited to compete in the innagural Grand Prix of Exotic Dance and also competed for the first time at the annual Nudes A Poppin Weekend. Perhaps the biggest event of the summer was winning the title of Miss Exxxotica Chicago at the annual expo. In August after performing again with the Glitter Guild at GenCon Viva went full time as a travelling feature dancer in clubs and continues to currently travel the country dancing and teasing.
